Prisync and PriceSentry side by side

Prisync PriceSentry
What you pay for URL-based plans cost $99, $199 or $399 a month. Channel-based plans $199, $399 or $599, hybrid $299, $599 or $799. Extra sales channels add $100 to $200 a month each. Shopify installs may be priced differently. Source 1 Source 2 Check volume: products × competitors × how often. Every plan includes every connector, the full API and unlimited products. Prices are on the pricing calculator.
Product and competitor limits 100, 1,000 or 5,000 products, depending on the tier. Unlimited competitors. Source No cap on products or competitors. Each competitor adds checks, so it adds cost.
Product matching On URL-based plans you add competitor URLs by hand. Channel-based plans match automatically by barcode (GTIN/UPC/EAN) on Google Shopping and Amazon. Hybrid plans do both. A matching service can be ordered. Source 1 Source 2 GTIN or barcode match first, or paste the competitor's product URL. Suggested matches need a human to confirm them.
How often prices are checked Manually added URLs 3 times a day, automatic matches once a day, whatever the plan. Source You choose: hourly, every 6 or 12 hours, daily, every 2 or 3 days, or weekly.
Repricing Premium and Platinum. Prices are applied automatically only through the Shopify app; other platforms use the API. Source 1 Source 2 The PriceSync add-on, on any plan. Prices are pushed back through each store connector.
Pricing guardrails Minimum and maximum prices from cost plus markup, a fallback level, and limits on each change. Source A margin floor on every rule. By default no automatic run moves a price more than 25%; bigger moves wait for a person.
Store integrations A native Shopify app. WooCommerce and BigCommerce through the API. No confirmed Magento integration: a Magento extension page exists, but Prisync's help centre lists Shopify as its only direct integration. Source 1 Source 2 Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce and WooCommerce connectors that import products and push prices back, plus CSV and FTP/SFTP.
Amazon A source of competitor prices on channel-based plans. Source Tracked as a competitor through a marketplace channel add-on, as are eBay and Google Shopping.
MAP monitoring Platinum only. Reports go to the brand; Prisync doesn't contact retailers. Source 1 Source 2 The MAP compliance add-on, on any plan. Violations are logged with timestamped evidence.
API Premium and Platinum, at 20% on top of the monthly fee. Source REST API and webhooks on every plan, at no extra cost.
Free trial and billing 14 days, no card needed. Billed monthly; no annual plan listed. Source 1 Source 2 14-day trial. A card is taken up front and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Monthly or annual billing.
Company Based in Istanbul. Founded in February 2013. Source New. PriceSentry hasn't launched yet; it's taking a waitlist.

Where Prisync is the better choice

You want a bill that doesn't move with competitor count

Prisync prices by product count and lets you track unlimited competitors. PriceSentry charges by check volume, so adding competitors or checking more often costs more.

You don't want to collect competitor URLs

Prisync's channel-based plans match your products by barcode on Google Shopping and Amazon automatically. In PriceSentry you add competitor product URLs yourself. Pages other users have already confirmed for the same GTIN are suggested, but you still confirm each one.

You want a long track record

Prisync has been running since 2013. PriceSentry hasn't launched yet.

You'd rather trial without a card

Prisync's 14-day trial doesn't ask for one. PriceSentry's takes a card up front, though nothing is charged until day 14.

Where PriceSentry is different

Automatic repricing beyond Shopify

Prisync applies prices automatically through its Shopify app; other platforms go through its API. PriceSentry's connectors push prices straight back to Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce and WooCommerce.

No surcharge for the API

Prisync's API comes with Premium and Platinum at 20% on top of the monthly fee. PriceSentry's API and webhooks are on every plan.

Checks as often as hourly

Prisync checks manually added URLs 3 times a day. PriceSentry lets you pick anything from hourly to weekly, and the price follows the number of checks.

Frequently asked questions

Can I move my products over from Prisync?

Yes. Products can be added through the REST API or a CSV import, so an export from Prisync can be reshaped into that format. If you sell on Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce or WooCommerce, the connector imports your catalog directly.

Is PriceSentry cheaper than Prisync?

It depends on your catalog. Prisync charges by product count with unlimited competitors; PriceSentry charges by check volume. Which works out cheaper depends on how many competitors you track and how often. Try your numbers in our pricing calculator against Prisync's published plans.

Does PriceSentry work with Magento?

Yes. The Magento connector uses a Magento Integration scoped to catalog resources, imports your catalog and pushes prices back by SKU. There is no extension to install.
