Exports & imports
Beyond the REST API, exports and imports are the platform's built-in way to move product data in and out through a connector — no scripting required.
Imports
Pull your catalog in from a connected platform (see Connecting Shopify or Connecting Magento first). Each import has:
- A sync mode — Create only (skip anything that already exists here) or Create and update (keep existing products in sync on every run).
- An optional schedule — run automatically every N minutes, or leave it manual-only and trigger with Run now.
- The same tag/attribute condition builder used by pricing rules, so you can pull in only a subset of the platform catalog (e.g. one brand or category) instead of everything.
Exports
Push your computed prices back out to a connector. Each export has the same shape as an import:
- An optional schedule (every N minutes) or manual-only, run via Run now.
- A condition builder to scope which products this export actually pushes.
Quick export streams a CSV of your current catalog immediately, without saving a scheduled config — useful for a one-off download.
How this relates to auto-applied pricing rules
A product tracked by a connector doesn't get its live price updated the instant a rule computes a new one — it's held until the next successful export actually confirms the price reached the platform. This means the price shown here and the price live on your store never disagree about what's "current."
Audit log
Every export/import run — scheduled or manual — logs what happened per product: created, updated, skipped (didn't match the condition filter), or failed (with the underlying error). Available on each connector's Logs page — check here first if data isn't moving the way you expect.
CSV
CSV works as an export destination (a plain file, no platform to authenticate against) and as a one-off manual upload for products — not a scheduled import source, since there's nothing to poll automatically. For a one-off spreadsheet upload, use the separate Import CSV action on the Products page instead of the Imports section.
