Quick start

Get from a fresh account to your first automated price change.

1

Create an account

Sign up at /register (or log in at /login if you already have one). This gives you access to the tenant panel — dashboard, products, rules, connectors, and settings all live under this login.

2

Add products

Three ways to get products into the system:

  • Manually — Products → Add product. Set name, SKU/GTIN, brand, store URL, cost price, sell price, and optionally tags/attributes (e.g. voltage: 18V) — these drive rule and export/import targeting later.
  • From a connector — connect Shopify or Magento first, then create an import to pull your catalog in. Better if you have more than a handful of products.
  • CSV — Products → Import CSV for a one-off bulk upload, or POST /api/products/import from a script.
3

Track competitors

On a product's detail page, add competitor URLs — the pages you want priced against. Click Scrape all to fetch current prices immediately, or wait for the scheduled crawl. Each URL's price history and last-attempt status are visible on the product page. See Tracking competitors for the full picture.

4

Connect a platform (optional but recommended)

If you sell on Shopify or Magento, connect it under Connectors so price changes push back to your store instead of only updating internally — see Connecting Shopify or Connecting Magento.

Without a connector, computed prices still apply to sell_price internally — you'd just be reading them out yourself (panel, API, or CSV export) rather than having them pushed live automatically.

5

Create a pricing rule

Rules → Create rule. Pick a rule type (e.g. "Beat lowest by %"), optionally scope it to a subset of products by tag/attribute, set a margin floor so you never price below cost, and choose whether changes apply automatically or need your approval first. See Pricing rules before your first one — the defaults (lower-only, margin floor, priority) are deliberate guardrails worth understanding.

The rule form shows a live count of which products currently match as you build it.

6

Watch it work

  • The rule engine evaluates active rules on a schedule and either applies the new price immediately (auto_apply) or queues it for review at Price Changes (suggest_only).
  • Analytics shows your competitive position (ahead/behind/matching) across your catalog.
  • Notifications tell you when a competitor's price moves, a scrape starts failing repeatedly, or a new suggestion is waiting — configurable per-trigger in Settings.
7

Automate from outside the panel

Create an API token in Settings → API Tokens, then use the REST API to read products/prices or push bulk updates from your own systems.
